I’m an editor at Foreign Affairs. Previously, I was on the editorial staff of The New Yorker, where I contributed articles on a wide variety of subjects, including Russia’s “filtration camps” in eastern Ukraine—a cover story supported by the Pulitzer Center. My writing and reporting have also appeared in The New York Times, Harper’s Magazine, and other publications.
A native of Tbilisi, Georgia, I grew up mostly in New Jersey, studied international affairs at Columbia University, and served in the Peace Corps in South Africa.
